The Columbia, p.u. 1906

The Columbia is situated on the corner of Crown and Apsley Roads. It still retains its original name today but is also known as Toni's Taverna. The ivy-covered house has also become part of the restaurant and the doorways have been altered since this photograph was taken. EX6, possibly the first motor brake to operate in Great Yarmouth with Mr. W. Bartram at the wheel, gave trips along the sea-front at a cost of six old pence. Anna & Tony took over the Columbia in 1984.
